About Donations

Q?

What do I do if I still have a question about donations?

A.

If you have additional questions regarding making a donation to Every Child Lane County, please complete an inquiry form.

Q?

IS MY DONATION TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?

A.

As it launched, Every Child was an initiative of another Lane County nonprofit, One Hope. In January 2020, Every Child Lane County incorporated into a separate nonprofit organization. We are currently waiting to receive our determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service. We anticipate receiving this letter by June 2020. Any donation received from January 2020-June 2020 will retroactively be tax-deductible upon receipt of the determination letter. Our EIN is 84-3960323.

*We're not tax professionals. So, be sure to run this by your tax consultant. So long as no goods or services were exchanged, donations should be tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Q?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EVERY CHILD OREGON’S STATEWIDE EFFORT, AND THE LOCAL EFFORT IN MY COUNTY?

A.

Every Child is an affiliate model. Every Child Oregon is responsible for rolling out Every Child initiatives in every county in Oregon by 2022. And, the parent entity--Every Child Oregon--operates the Service Center that provides technical assistance, storytelling expertise, coaching, data management, marketing resources, and capacity-building for counties where Every Child exists. Like your local Dairy Queen, the Service Center leads the branding, tone, and overall operations, but the local community organizations will have their own flavor. The same Blizzards will be served across the state. Every Child Oregon is responsible for raising funds to cover the cost of operating the Service Center, launching the initiative in new counties, and supporting the current counties.

Local Every Child initiatives will do the day-to-day volunteer recruitment, coordination, foster family recruitment and support, and rollout new initiatives in their county. The local initiatives will raise their operational expenses each year from individual donations, grants and sponsorship.
