About Every Child Lane County

Every Child Lane County is mobilizing the community to support children and families impacted by foster care. Everyone can bring something to the table to help. Since 2016, thousands of people have shown up in radically generous, creative, and loving ways. Individuals, families, churches, businesses, schools, and civic groups are all invited to join the story of hope.

Caring for Kids
We are actively raising up new foster (resource) homes. There is a consistent need in Lane County for more safe, caring homes for children. Last year, nearly 1,000 children spent time in foster care in Lane County. 70% spent time in more than one foster home. Caring for kids can happen in a variety of ways. Learn more.

Meeting Tangible Needs
The Every Child community is meeting the tangible needs of children impacted by foster care in multiple unique ways:

The My NeighbOR Program is a simple way to ensure the emergency needs of kids (beds, car seats, cribs, groceries, etc.) and quality-of-life-improvement needs (bike, stroller, birthday party) can be communicated to our community and quickly fulfilled. Learn more.

The Brighter Side Giving Store is a dignifying, free “shopping” experience for school-aged youth in crisis. Since launching in 2021, nearly 300 children have visited the store. You can donate clothing, host a clothing drive, or volunteer to ensure the store can stay a viable resource to children. Learn more.

Each holiday season the community gathers to make Christmas memorable for 150+ children and their families. Since 2016, over 1,000 children have received Christmas gifts.

Volunteering
Giving your time is a meaningful way to help a child impacted by foster care. Recurring and one-time volunteer opportunities are available. Do you have a particular skill or passion? Connect with us. We will figure out how you can use that skill to bless a child or family in our community. Learn more.

Giving
Every Child Lane County is 100% funded by the generosity of Individuals, families, businesses, schools, civic groups, faith communities and foundations. You can give through Amazon Smile, Fred Meyer Rewards, Walmart SparkGood, BottleDrop or by making a traditional donation. Learn more.
